The Paradoxical Response of the Actress

Sometime ago, the parents of a cancer victim contacted the camp of outspoken actress (OA) and requested if OA could possibly grant the wish of their child to see her. The sick child idolizes OA and loves her portrayals of her fantasy and non-fantasy roles. There was no problem because OA has been vocal that it gives her joy when her simple presence can make other people, especially the children, happy. OA's manager agreed to the plan. The reporters of the network were also requested to cover OA's visit to the hospital. After all, her visit would make a good story because she needs all the good news to balance the negative stories about her.

Everything was then set for an afternoon visit. The child, the family, and the hospital eagerly waited for OA's arrival. But a few hours prior to the visit, the newsroom of the network told OA's camp that no one from their team could cover the visit. The network had dispatched all its field/camera personnel to cover the wake of the comedy king. The reporters were all engaged in making their stories as tributes to the king as well. In other words, everyone was busy and no one can go with OA to feature her outreach.

To everyone's  surprise, OA cancelled her appointment with the child. She said that she will just visit the following week. By that time, the reporters would already be available, she reasoned out. Some say, that although OA might be sincere with helping people, one cannot help but wonder why the absence of the press made her change her plans at the last minute. Perhaps, OA can truly be admired for helping others if she imbibes what the legendary stars have done in the past. Most of the big name stars were respected and admired regardless of their indiscretions because when they extended help, they did so quietly, all in the absence of fanfare.

Can you identify who OA is? Please abide by the RULES in writing comments if you want me to post them. Initials and comments that are too explicit will not be accepted.
