Bruuuuuuce!

Devoted fans of Fair and Unbalanced may recall an earlier piece I wrote about Bruce Springsteen called Thank You Steven Gladstone, Wherever You Are.  (See also The Big Man (1942-2011).)

As I wrote in the earlier post, I don't listen to Springsteen much anymore.  But I am intrigued by the imminent release of his new album, Wrecking Ball, which is being described as a "return to his roots as the voice of blue-collar America."

In anticipation of the new release, it was Springsteen Week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, starting with the Boss himself playing a couple of songs from Wrecking Ball on Monday.  This was followed the next two nights by John Legend and Kenny Chesney, respectively, with Springsteen covers, and then last night, Elvis Costello and the Roots.
