You are probably aware of the star (or sun-rays diagram) - a central concept and subconcepts sprawling out like the rays going out of the sun. It can be a very useful tool to grasp a complicated subject really fast because everything is right there on the paper in front of you. You do not have to flip through pages and pages to get the idea.
These types of diagram are much better than "they-all-look-the-same" PowerPoint presentations. There are new computer programs that can help you to organize your thoughts the "sun-rays" way, especially if you have a Tablet PC.
