In the U.S., started selling iPhone 5 without SIM-lock

From today, the U.S. began selling the iPhone 5 that are not tied to the operator (without contract and SIM-lock). It should be noted that in Europe, these smartphones Apple started selling before, but they are much more expensive.

If Europe unlocked iPhone 5 with 16 GB of memory costs 679 euros (about $ 880), in the U.S. the same model will cost 649 dollars. Versions with 32 and 64 GB of memory are, respectively, 100 and 200 dollars more. At the moment so sold GSM-version of the device (GSM / HSPA + / LTE in certain countries), one person may purchase up to two devices at hand.

The new smartphone Apple got A6 dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, the touch in-cell Retina-display with a diagonal of 4 inches and a resolution of 640 × 1136 pixels, modules Wi-Fi (802.11n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS, 3G / 4G, the main 8-megapixel iSight camera with LED flash and the ability to shoot Full HD-video, front 1.2-megapixel camera, a three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer and proximity sensor and light. Internal memory capacity is 16, 32 or 64 GB.

Earlier, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, specializing in Apple, predicted that in 2014 an American company can release a very cheap version of iPhone, which will cost $ 200 without SIM-lock, and the need to conclude the contract.
