Display of Pretentiousness

The pompous host (PH) is known for her impeccable command of English and earning recognition for her advocacies from various organizations. Her choice of shows has been limited to lifestyle shows that feature the finer things in life. Later on, she branched out into having her own line of products catering to household needs.

However, some sectors are tired of PH trying too hard to belong to the elite. PH loves to name drop high-end brands, artists, jewelry makers, among others. For example, when people heard her talk about a famous American painter, it seemed like she owned the original. However, what she owns, allegedly, is a print of the original.

At a small dinner party, she talked about the rarity of a pair of earrings a friend got for her. The friend got the earrings, as she said, from an exclusive high-end jewelry maker abroad. She also spoke of how expensive these earrings were. She did not know that some of the guests were laughing behind her back because those earrings were available online at a discounted price.

Sometimes PH and her friends are topics in society dinners because of their pretentious habits and constant name-dropping. They earned the nickname, “AbFab,” which is based on a British sitcom about a couple of social climbers.

Moreover, some also noticed that PH could not keep herself from making catty comments behind the back of people. They wonder if PH is jealous of people who have more money, or bitter that she does not have as much to live the lifestyle she desires and projects.

Do you know who PH is? Please abide by the RULES in writing comments if you want me to post them. Initials and comments that are too explicit will not be accepted.
