Fast forward 139 years, and now we have the periodic table in... YouTube format:
Chromium from Periodic Table of Videos.
The Periodic Table of Videos YouTube channel by the University of Nottingham, UK has a video about each element on the periodic table. All 118 of them. The main website with all the videos presented as a table can be found at www.periodicvideos.com.
Since launching the site, the videos have been watched more than 2.4 million times. This is an example of a tremendous global outreach mediated by the free distribution channel that is YouTube.
