I placed the inlet and outlet of the water on the same side, one at the bottom of the aquarium, the other surface sonaki shower head without swirls not to lose the benefit of my CO2 diffuser. Hello, I suggest you keep safety in both filtrations for two raisons.La first alternating cleaning foam, you will always have bacteria and thus a crystal clear water. The second reason is no shelter failure filter, and have a second running, will let you time to repair and especially poipois keep alive. here is this is only my humble opinion. good luck ...
