Radiofrequency Ablation as First-Line Treatment for AFib
EKG of atrial fibrillation
According to a study published in JAMA the radiofrequency ablation was much better than the antiarrhythmic drugs as first-line treatment of atrial fibrillation. This is good news for EPs.
At the end of 1-year follow-up, 63% patients who received antiarrhythmics had an Afib recurrence as compared with 13% of the patient who had the ablation (P<0.001). href="http://net7.blogspot.com/2004/01/text-to-speech-wonder.html">make an MP3 file with a text-to-speech program and listen to it whenever you can - when driving, exercising, etc.
